Dr. Raquel Moncrieffe joined Katzen Eye Group in 2025. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL, with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry with Honors, and later earned her Doctor of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, FL in 2000.
With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Moncrieffe’s practice focuses on primary eye care, dry eye syndrome, specialty contact lenses, ocular disease, eye emergencies, and surgical co-management involving cataract and LASIK/PRK. She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Maryland Optometric Association, and the Virginia Optometric Association, and has completed the American Optometric State Leadership Program.
She has also volunteered at Special Olympics Ocular Assessments, completed several triathlons, and is a Certified Health Coach. When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, Alexandra and Khiiara, and her dog Bella Simone, as well as swimming, cycling, and kayaking.
