But it wasn’t until I put on my very first pair of glasses and saw individual leaves on the trees that I realized vision isn't just about seeing—it's about connection. I became an optometrist to give that same life-changing moment to my patients every day."
Dr. Bennehoff graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU) with a B.A. in Biology/Pre-Med. In 2003, she earned her degree from the Southern College of Optometry (SCO) in Memphis, Tennessee. Dr. Bennehoff first came to Maryland on an externship at Fort Meade.
Her interest in optometry began during high school, leading her to become an ABO-certified optician and work in the field throughout her time at IWU and SCO. Over her 20+ years as an optometrist, Dr. Bennehoff has focused on glaucoma and comprehensive eye care.
Outside of the office, Dr. Bennehoff enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with her family. She is also an active member in her church and her daughter’s Girl Scout troop.
