James DoyleM.D.

One my greatest joys in life is the opportunity to help improve and support children’s eye sight because of the positive impact it has on the rest of their lives.

Dr. James Doyle joined the Katzen Eye Group in 2017. He is a board-certified Ophthalmologist who is fellowship trained in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus surgery. Dr. Doyle has been practicing for over 29 years. He began his career at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn College of Medicine where he completed medical school. He then went onto the Long Island Jewish Schneider Children’s Hospital in New York, where he completed a dual residency in pediatrics, ophthalmology and served as the chief ophthalmology resident. He then went onto the University of Illinois, Eye and Ear Infirmary, in Chicago, Illinois to complete his fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.

Before joining the Katzen Eye Group, Dr. Doyle served as the Director of Pediatric Ophthalmology at the Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, as a Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus Attending at the Queens Hospital Center Affiliated with Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Jamaica, New York and the President and Owner of a private practice in Rockville Centre, New York in specializing in Pediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus and Adult Strabismus for over 20 years.

Outside of the office, Dr. Doyle enjoys boating, traveling and spending time with his wife and two children.
