Dr. Katzen joins Mayor O'Malley on Homeland Security Mission

Dr. Brett Katzen accompanied Mayor Martin O'Malley on his 5 day Homeland Security Mission to Israel in January. As part of this delegation Dr. Katzen visited Barzilai Medical Center, one of Israel's leading healthcare institutions. Barzalai, Israel's closest hospital to the Gaza Strip, Provides a unique combination of in-patient services with direct involvement in important public health issues throughout the region.

Dr Katzen attended homeland security briefings with Mayor O'Malley, and his wife, Judge Catherine O'Malley. Briefings included, Deputy Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, Spokesman to Prime Minister Sharon, Rana'an Gissin, and Mister of Police, Gideon Ezra.

Dr. Katzen was joined by 20 members of the Baltimore community which included, health professionals, local political and community leaders.
