Ghada Orkubi, M.D., F.A.C.S.

"I joined Katzen Eye Group to uphold the mission of helping patients improve their vision and restore sight. I followed in the footsteps of my father by choosing a career in medicine. When my nephew was born legally blind from congenital glaucoma, I was inspired to specialize in that field to help patients with that condition."

After completing medical school at Alexandria University of Egypt, Dr. Orkubi held a yearlong clinical fellowship in pediatrics at Harvard medical school 1988. Following her fellowship, she began her residency in ophthalmology at the Bowman Gray/Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston Salem, NC in 1993. In 1995, she completed a combined fellowship in Glaucoma and Cornea at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Academy of Ophthalmology, as well as a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
