Dr. Adler completed a Corneal, Refractive and External Disease Fellowship at the Wilmer Eye Institute. He brings a new level of expertise to the practice by providing advanced corneal care to our patients. After graduating from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Richard went on to complete his residency at the Wilmer Eye Institute. As a resident, Dr. Adler's research interests included intraocular lens design and function, as well as ocular infectious disease. Dr. Adler has completed advanced training in non-surgical cosmetic procedures and has studied under the guidance of international pioneers in the field of cosmetic injections.
Dr. Adler graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania and was a member of the University Scholars Program. He is currently a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the American Society for Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. Additionally, he is an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute. Richard, his wife and children reside in Baltimore. In his free time, he enjoys travel, piano and classical ballet.
