About Our Eye Doctors

Katzen Eye Group has eight Ophthalmologists and eight Optometrists on staff. Our doctors are highly-trained and very experienced. They are a diverse group of specialists, covering many areas of vision improvement and eye health. Whatever your needs are, we can meet them with the best possible service.
Each of the doctors at Katzen Eye Group has unique skills and abilities that make them a valuable member of our team. Our Ophthalmologists work closely with our Optometrists to make diagnoses and provide individualized care for each patient.
All of our Optometrists focus on providing comprehensive eye care. Some also assist with pre- and post-operative cataract management. They also specialize in Low Vision care, Ortho-Keratology, and Refractive Services. All Katzen Eye Group doctors play an active role in shaping the knowledge and skills of America’s future eye doctors though a special externship program. This unique program allows students from our country’s most prominent Schools of Optometry to participate and learn on site at a dynamic multi-specialty eye care practice like no other.
Six of our Ophthalmologists are recognized as Fellows of the American College of Surgeons. Their surgical skills and expertise, as well as their medical credentials, have been evaluated and are considered to be up to the high standards of the College of Surgeons.
Our vision correction team, including Dr. Brett Katzen, performs laser vision correction (LASIK) and cataract surgery. Our doctors perform over a thousand cataract surgeries every year!
Rounding out our talented team of ophthalmologists is an oculoplastic surgeon who performs reconstructive and aesthetic eyelid and facial plastic surgery, a highly trained glaucoma specialist, a doctor specializing in retinal services, and a specialist in corneal disease. We also have an Ophthalmologist who, in addition to cataract surgery, treats dry eye syndrome. Our doctors are a close knit group working together to provide each patient with the best possible care.
